The lobster risotto is a perfect mix of traditional Maine cuisine, enhanced by Cal Hancock's unique approach to her favorite foods. Presented in a scallop shell, this makes a perfect appetizer for any meal.

This sweet, heavenly certified Maine lobster is kissed with a delicate, rich beurre blanc risotto made from the freshest ingredients, including crimini mushrooms and a touch of Swiss cheese. All this is topped with panko bread crumbs mixed with lemon herb butter and presented in a scallop shell – it looks as good as it tastes.

    • Preparation Instructions:
    Thaw in refrigerator for 3-4 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove plastic wrap from shell. Place shell on baking sheet. Bake until crumbs have browned and the appetizer is hot; about 15-20 minutes.

    Shelf Life: 9 months frozen, 4 days refrigerated.

    Why do we package with Dry Ice?
    Dry Ice is very cold. The surface temperature is approximately -110 degrees F, much cooler than regular ice. Dry Ice is an excellent refrigerant to keep perishable food products cool until they arrive to you, the customer.

    What is Dry Ice?
    Dry Ice is another term for solid carbon dioxide. When it “melts” it turn directly into a gas. You know that carbon dioxide ("CO2") is the gas we exhale every time we breathe. When CO2 gas is compressed, it changes to CO2 solid.

    Why wasn't any Dry Ice remaining when my package arrived?
    The dry ice used in the food products we offer usually lasts between 24 to 36 hours. Since we ship our products via UPS 2nd day air, it is common for little or no dry ice to remain by the time you receive your package. However, your food will still be cold, ready to be put right in your freezer!
