Kobe beef accumulates significantly higher ratios of monounsaturated to saturated fatty acids than does regular beef from domestic sources, helping maintain weight goals and healthy lifestyle. It also naturally provides a high level of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid), which can help support the immune system.

Disappointing Product,

"All reviews that describe the "Kobi" sirloin steaks being tough and disappointing are exactly "on target". The presentation on Shop NBC for these steaks was tremendously misleading!!!! This purchase, without doubt, was a waste of money. I rate the product as "fair" rather than "poor" only because the taste of the steaks was equal to and typical of sirloin steaks purchased at any supermarket or butcher shop...for a much more reasonable price."

"I have tried cooking this meat in different ways to achive a tender picse of steak...with NO sucess ! IIve grilled for many years, and I know its not my lack of knowledge. I feel that I have been ripped-off, this is not even close to what was presented on the show. A choice cut sirloin would beat this meat hands down. although very jucy, its so tough , your jaw will be sore before you can eat half a steak.save your money"

"Very disappointed ,the steaks are not what they say they are .I was in the meat business for 4 years providing meat, seafood and poultry to restaurants,hotels and the like.These steaks are not prime and there a lot of garbage in the meat for the price.The one thing that really upset me the most was the fact that who ever packaged my order cut the sealed packaging with a razor knife so when I thawed them out they leaked everywhere at least 4 of the 6 were cut.so much for being good for 8 months."

"I have ordered from two other midwest beef companies and their flavor does not even come close to the HeartBrand Kobe steaks. I babqued them with nothing on them and the taste of the meat is excellant and juicy. It's been a long time since I've had a piece of meat stand on it's own!!"

"Product arrived in perfect condition-frozen and dry ice not melted. Defrosted as directed in the fridge for a couple of days after a week in the freezer. Broiled rare with less than a dash of salt and pepper to taste. NO MARBLING, NO MELT IN YOUR MOUTH FLAVOR, NO UNPARALLED TENDERNESS. TASTE-PLAIN OLD SIRLOIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED. LOCAL GROCER AND WHOLESALE JOINTS HAVE MUCH BETTER STEAKS AT A FRACTION OF A PRICE!"

"I've had Kobe steak before and these steaks aren't close. I would grade them as medium choice at best. They aren't tender or flavorful no matter how you cook them. The marbleing is OK but JUST OK. I will not ever purchase them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. They are nuts to suggest that they will grade out 2 to 3 times above prime...not even close. The way I look at it, they are only good for soup meat!"
