The center of the stein features a classic Black Forest chalet with a large cuckoo clock. A couple wearing traditional lederhosen and dirndl flank the home. Views of Freiburg, Triberg, Baden-Baden, Titisee, Feldberg, and Freudenstadt complete the motif. A handle sculpted to resemble tree roots fits the Black Forest theme. The stein is finished with a pointed pewter lid decorated with sculptured ornaments.

The limited edition stein is individually numbered by the painter - only 10,000 of this stein were created. Each stein is signed on the base by the modeler and painter.

About King-Werk:
Founded in 1949, King-Werk is a family-owned business that practices the centuries old craft of stein making. Located in Germany's Western Forest, many King-Werk steins are based on antique designs. In the early 1500s, Germany established laws requiring that all food and beverage containers be covered to protect their contents, in reaction to several fly invasions and the bubonic plague. In response, easy-open "steinkrugs" were created with the lid, hinge and thumb lift combined.
