King-Werk Limited Edition "Bavaria Coat of Arms" Handcrafted Stoneware Stein
Raise your glass to the rich heritage of Bavaria. Handcrafted in the tradition of classic German "steinkrugs," the black piece is covered with sculptured artwork showcasing the beauty of Bavaria. Made in Germany.
The center of the stein features the Bavarian coat of arms, flanked by King Ludwig II's Neuschwanstein Castle and a view of Munich. At the base of the stein are inscribed the words: "Gott mit dir, du land der Bayern," which in English means: God with you, land of the Bavarians. The stein is finished with a pointed pewter lid featuring Clydesdales pulling wagons of beer, hops and malt.
Fired repeatedly for long-lasting quality, the limited edition stein is individually numbered by the painter - only 10,000 of this stein were created. Each stein is signed on the base by the modeler and painter.

About King-Werk:
Founded in 1949, King-Werk is a family-owned business that practices the centuries old craft of stein making. Located in Germany's Western Forest, many King-Werk steins are based on antique designs. In the early 1500s, Germany established laws requiring that all food and beverage containers be covered to protect their contents, in reaction to several fly invasions and the bubonic plague. In response, easy-open "steinkrugs" were created with the lid, hinge and thumb lift combined. Created by skilled craftsman, you can carry on a European tradition with your own artful King-Werk stein.
