King-Werk Limited Edition "Oktoberfest Relief" Handcrafted Stoneware Stein
Serve up your favorite Oktoberfest brew in this impressive stein. Handcrafted in the tradition of classic German "steinkrugs," the cobalt blue piece is covered with sculptured artwork showcasing a crowd in a beer garden, celebrating Munich's festival. Made in Germany.
Portraying men and women wearing classic lederhosen and dirndl, one side features a woman inviting others to join the celebrating group. A brass band plays in front of town hall, while one man is showing refilling his stein. The base of the stein features the words "Ein Prosit der Gemuetlichkeit" (three cheers to festivity). Oktoberfest is sculpted into each side of the large handle. The stein is finished with a solid pewter plateau lid featuring a beer maiden figurine.
Hand painted and fired repeatedly for long-lasting quality, the limited edition stein is individually numbered by the painter - only 10,000 of this stein were created. Each stein is signed on the base by the modeler and painter.

About King-Werk:
Founded in 1949, King-Werk is a family-owned business that practices the centuries old craft of stein making. Located in Germany's Western Forest, many King-Werk steins are based on antique designs. In the early 1500s, Germany established laws requiring that all food and beverage containers be covered to protect their contents, in reaction to several fly invasions and the bubonic plague. In response, easy-open "steinkrugs" were created with the lid, hinge and thumb lift combined. Created by skilled craftsman, you can carry on a European tradition with your own artful King-Werk stein.
