Enrique Campos Lladro Porcelain
Lladro began in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain in 1953 as an artisan workshop that created works based on adapted styles from past eras. Founded by the three Lladro brothers, Juan, Jose, and Vicente the small family-run business has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from a small artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. Today, the company management remains in the hands of the Lladro family, owners of the firm since its inception.

The unique Lladro style began soon after the creation of the company.  Each piece in the collection has a distinctive form, with an emphasis on color attributes and endearing human warmth. Since its creation, the works of Lladro artists follow a stringent artistic process, maintaining the highest quality as well as preserving the essence of the founding brothers.

In 1988, the Lladro Museum and Gallery opened in New York City. Displaying the largest collection of Lladro creations in the world, it includes many artistic works from the Lladro brothers early years. In addition to the Lladro Museum and Gallery, some of the world's most prominent museums exhibit important Lladro sculptures in their permanent collections.

Highly revered in Spain and around the world, Lladro has received a multitude of awards including the most prestigious for a Spanish company, the Prince Felipe Prize for Business Excellence.

Today, Lladro is staffed by about 2,000 employees, the majority of them at the City of Porcelain, a complex on the outskirts of Valencia where all pieces are created. Lladro distributes its creations to more than 120 countries on five continents.
