Waterford® Crystal "Lismore" 6oz Wine Glasses - Set of Four

"If you're a great gift giver - this is a great idea. If you have a bunch of kids and want to start a family pattern, this is great. Anyone who collects Waterford knows what a great pattern this is. This is the classic Waterford pattern, the number one pattern in the world. If you look closely, you can even see the turrets of Ireland's famous Lismore castle." --Waterford's Jorge Perez

All-occasion elegance, designed for a lifetime of luxury. Crafted with classic Waterford sophistication, this set of four wine glasses features the traditional Lismore pattern. With the timeless pattern, you can pair with any dinnerware or crystal patterns in your collection. Sure to make any occasion special, the glasses are designed in a versatile size for a variety of wines, and can even be used to serve mousse or fruit. The set arrives in a classic gray Waterford box for easy gift giving. Each glass measures 2.84"W x 7.5"H. Each glass holds 6 ounces. Made of crystal. For indoor use only. Made in Ireland.

Care Instructions:
Fine crystal should be hand washed separately in warm soapy water, rinsed thoroughly and dried with a lint-free cloth. We do not recommend using a dishwasher to clean your crystal as it can dull and damage the surface. Avoid pouring iced liquids or very hot water into crystal as extreme temperatures can crack or break your crystal. The finely made rims are the most fragile part of your crystal. Do not turn upside down while drying or storing.

About the Lismore Pattern:
Lismore is Waterford's most famous pattern and is admired for the graceful form that defines tradition even as it transcends it. Lismore has wooed and won three generations of collectors. Ireland's spectacular Lismore Castle, once the home of famed English writer Sir Walter Raleigh, inspired designer Mirek Havel 50 years ago. Havel was a Czech immigrant who started with Waterford in 1947 and went on to become its Chief Designer. The Lismore spark led to a creative outpouring that continues to this day, with fresh shapes, styles, and interpretations emerging not only in Waterford crystal, but Waterford fine china, flatware, lighting, silver, and linens. Lismore's honored place in America now extends to every place in the home.

Jorge Perez Waterford
A name synonymous with elegance and luxury, Waterford was founded in 1783 by George and William Penrose in the ancient Viking city of Waterford. From the start, the principle that would guide the company for more than 200 years was simple: handcraft crystal “as fine as any in Europe…in the most elegant style.”

The Penrose’s knew the secret to mixing just the right minerals and glass to produce crystal with beautiful and mysterious qualities. When tapped, it sang sweetly. When touched, it felt warm and soft. The magnificent pieces crafted in Waterford's early period set the standards now recognized as the hallmarks of Waterford Crystal.

Today, Waterford is the world’s top producer of handcrafted crystal, and continues to be the brand of choice for the most elegant of table settings and luxury lifestyle accoutrement.
