Founded in 1953 by three brothers, Juan, Jose, and Vicente were born of local farmers and endowed with great artistic talent. Their small family company was formed in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain. Since then, Lladro has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. The company management has remained in the hands of the Lladro family, the owners of the firm, since its inception.
In the beginning, the company adapted styles from past eras, but the unique Lladro style was soon created. In 1988, the Lladro Museum and Gallery opened in New York City. Guest Enrique Campos is currently the Lladro Business Development Manager. Born in Valencia, Spain, Campos began his career as a young adult with Lladro as an intern in their Museum and Gallery in New York City. Since then, Mr. Campos has served in a variety of positions throughout the company, including regional sales manager for New York and New Jersey.
