About Damasco Texturing:
Inspired by rich damask fabrics, the Damasco finish lends texture, variety and depth to jewelry. For many centuries, damask fabrics were only used as an indication of status and for garments only worn for ceremonial events. Damask is a self-patterned fabric - it's a satin weave that relies on the play of light to give dimension to the pattern, which is subtle and rich at the same time.

This texture on this ring is created completely by hand. On the external side (the edging), a pen with a diamond cut is used to give it the texture. The design in the center is created with a separate pen, with an abrasive surface to create the texture. The base of Chocolate Gold is 14K Yellow Gold. The Yellow Gold is then treated with special gold salts, to turn the Yellow Gold to a Chocolate color.
