Awesome Sheets,

"I ordered these sheets in the teal and the shitake colors almost a year ago now and I'm shocked at the negative reviews of these sheets. I'm not sure people understand that 1000 thread count means its got 700 more threads per square inch than your normal cheap 300 thread count sheets (thats over 3x the amount of threads and fabric). Of course they are going to be thicker, stiffer and heavier. I guess most people don't understand that higher thread count doesn't necessarily mean its softer than lesser thread counts. Because of the high quality and high thread count these sheets will last longer and hold up better than cheaper sheets. Absolutely no pilling; no fading of color after at least 20 washes of each set and who cares if sheets wrinkle anyway? You stretch them over a mattress when you sleep on them don't you? I guess I know all this because I have other 1000 thread count sheets that I have purchased elsewhere (for more $) and can appreciate the quality of these sheets. If you've never touched 1000 thread count sheets head out to your local BB&B and touch them before you buy these. You might just find you prefer a lesser thread count before you spend the $ on these sheets and it'll show you how good the value is on these after you see the price at retail for 1000 thread count. These also come with 4 pillow cases as opposed to the 2 you get with the sets at retail. Just look at how much those two extra 1000 thread count pillowcases cost (about $40.00) and you'll be back here at Shop NBC to buy!!"

"I am happy with these sheets as they are silky and smooth to sleep under,but, they are hard to deal with and fold after they are laundered. Since I have another 1000count sheets I know they will get softer. Right now, I'm wondering if they are too thick."

"I LOVE, LOVE, Love these sheets! Crisp and fresh just like Mama's, right off the line. Yes these are a bit crisp for a while, maybe 6 washings but, that only reminds me of Mama's sheets. Then they get very, very soft and with a delicate touch against the skin. This is the second pair I have bought and will continue to buy.....great price and great value."

"We purchased these king sheets thinking they would be soft and luxurious. They didn't look bad when we got them out of the package. However, after washing they were stiff and extremely rough.
We washed them a second and a third time and they were rougher than the cardboard they were packed with.
They are so noisy that when one of us moves in bed it wakes the other one up. If Momma don't get a good night's sleep - aint nobody happy at this house!!!!
Not what we expected at all.....very dissappointed! We are shipping back for refund!"

"I love these sheets. They are ultra smooth and crisp, the kind of sheets I like to sleep between. I don't like sheets that I can get tangled-up in and because these are a heavier weight high thread count they are stiff (in a great way), not light and flimsy. As I move around I feel as if I am gliding on the soft, smooth surface."

"I have rarely been moved to write a review, but I just had to express my utter disappointment with these sheets. I followed the laundering directions carefully, and even washed them twice...and they were still stiff as a board, and wrinkled as can be. They were way too thick and heavy as well. I just hated them. The search for soft comfy sheets continues..."

Not Worth the $$$,

"I was excited to get these 1000 tc sheet set. Ordered in it the yellow. The color is lovey and just what I wanted to match my bedroom. However, I washed them and put them on the bed immediately after drying and they are still rough and very wrinkled. These are not what I expected of high thread count sheets. My 600 thread count sheets are softer and wrinkle free. I am hoping that these will soften up with repeated washing/drying."

"These sheets are stiff, scratchy and just not worth the price. They came out of the drier looking like a big wrinkled mess. I have washed them twice hoping that they would get softer! Nope!
I think these will now be used as rags to wash the car. I just can't sleep on them.
Don't bother wasting your money!"

High Expectations,

"I bought this set, thinking that the high thread count would be like sleeping on satin. My husband liked the teal, so when it came in, I thought I'd wash the sheets and put them on the bed as a surprise for him. I followed the washing directions and as soon as the sheets were dry, I ran into the laundry room to get them out of the dryer so they wouldn't wrinkle. Well, they came out of the dryer looking as if they were made out of paper that someone crumpled up. Also, even though I used fabric softener, and cold water, the fabric was stiff and scratchy. I have lower thread count sheets that have a sateen finish, and are far more softer than these are. Also, I do not have to iron those sheets, while I can't put these on the bed without ironing them first. I'll keep them because of the color, but these are sheets I will probably not use all that often. I can only hope that these will soften up as they are washed more. At least the color is nice."
