About the Pamela McCoy Collections:
The Pamela McCoy Collections offer couture styling for every woman. Featuring great designs meant to last a lifetime, the collection is perfect for the woman who loves fashion and appreciates garments cut to fit a woman’s body. Inspired by life, Pamela seeks to design a collection to help women feel comfortable and confident in every aspect of their life.
History of the Paisley Pattern:
Resembling a large comma or twisted teardrop, the kidney-shaped paisley is one of the most recognized patterns in the world. The lacy pattern is Persian in origin, but its western name derives from the town of Paisley, in central Scotland. The pattern is sometimes called "Persian pickles" by American traditionalists, especially quilt makers, or "Welsh pears" in Wales textiles as far back as 1888.
Additional Information:
The jacket is fully lined to protect and extend the life of the garment, with washable snap-in underarm shields. These exclusive Pamela McCoy underarm shields allow you to keep your blazer fresh all the time. Self-covered buttons. Three button front closure. Made of 100% leather with 100% polyester lining. Perfect for the Symphony!,
March 5, 2009
By dressedhilt
from Missouri

"I love this jacket! It makes me feel so special. Everyone comments on it, because it looks like a million dollars on! The leather is thicker than most of my Pam McCoy pieces, but I think they have to have thicker leather in order to do embossing work, and this jacket is all about the embossing. You will have the pefect jacket to wear for a black tie event. I wear mine with all black underneath when I go out for a special event."

Very unusual jacket,
January 14, 2009
By Highmaintenancegal
from Dallas, Texas
|
"This jacket is fabulous. I agree with other reviewers that the leather is a little stiff, but the style, sheen of the leather, and embossing makes it highly unusual and striking. You will not see yourself coming and going in this piece. Mine did not have a smell. The jacket is somewhat shorter than most, but highly wearable. I have had this for about a year now and love wearing it. I have the black/silver embossed jacket by Pam, as well, and love it. I always get compliments when I wear either one.."

Nice - But Not For Me,
September 30, 2008
By queenie56
from Woodbridge, VA
|
"I purchased this jacket because of the embossing which was beautiful, but the leather felt more like vinyl instead of leather. I usually only purchase Pam's lamb and suede jackets, and that is what I will continue to do in the future, as I do not like the quality of the leather. With that being said, the fit, style and execution was done to perfection, but I could not stand the feel of the leather!"

Very Pretty Jacket,

"I disagree with the other reviewers. This is a great Jacket. It can go dressy or casual with Jeans for a western look. Just take it out of the package let it air and you will have a great buy."

Disappointed,
September 8, 2008
By weblady

"I returned this one. This has been the only jacket that I have purchased of Pamela McCoy collection that I didn't like. It is pretty however, very stiff and uncomfortable. It looks gorgeous hanging in the closet but feels terrible on."

Strange Cut and Leather,
August 24, 2008
By Linda
from San Antonio TX
|
"This jacket is cut in a strange way that does not fit at all around the neckline. The idea of tooled leather is fantastic, but the leather itself feels really strange--overly stiff and waxy--not at all comfortable. This jacket is going back. So sorry."

Looks Amazing,
August 14, 2008
By friskygirl
from Massachusetts
|
"I need to write about this jacket because so many people have trashed it. I fully concur with the previous reviewer - jacket is processed leather, stiffer than lamb and a bit smelly and wrinkled upon arrival. But the cut, style and fit are fabulous and the jacket looks amazing on. Now that it's been in my closet for a month, waiting for cooler weather, the negatives are gone. I LOVE THIS JACKET! Can't wait to dazzle my colleagues! The tooled leather is incredibly rich looking. A winner for me!"

Stunning!,
July 27, 2008
By Cillann
from New Jersey
|
"I had to write a review when I read the others... #1 - I knew, when purchased, that it was embossed leather, NOT Lamb, yes, there is a difference. No surprise there. #2 - Yes, there was a smell, I assumed it was the processing, jacket packaged in plastic, boxed, shipped in the heat of the summer didn't help, nor the fact that it sat in the trunk of my car for a few days. Did not put it in closet, aired it out, I don't know exactly when (1 to 2 weeks? I had gone away) but the smell is gone. #3 - Wrinkles gone too. #4 - Style is a winner, construction pure quality, neckline is flattering and sits perfect on me. #5 - Unique, love this jacket. Don't really want to wish the summer away, but can not wait to wear it. Pamela McCoy's line is simply the best!!!"

Collar ruins the lines,
July 11, 2008
By ChrisS
from Texas
|
"I too, received and returned it in the same day. I didn't notice any unusual smell, but the collar was akward... at the point it is attached to the body of the jacket it sticks out, away from the neckline. I sew and am sure this is a problem with the pattern, since every reviewer noticed the fit is wrong here. It's a beautiful material, and the rest of the jacket fit fine (I wear a 10-12 and ordered a M). The fit is definitely looser than earlier jackets I've ordered in PM collection."

Beautiful Jacket - BUT !!!,
July 8, 2008
By BeadAholic
from TN
|
"I ordered this jacket because of its uniqueness. When I received it I loved the embossing, BUT the smell bothered me, also the collar and neckline were wrinkled and would not smooth-out. I shipped it back the next day. Just couldn't be sure if the smell and the wrinkles would go away. I have many other PMC jackets and will probably stick to the ones with lamb leather."

Leather Too Stiff,
July 7, 2008
By Godiva
from Wash. DC
|
"This jacket looks great but needs to be more supple, possibly made of lamb leather. I have only started buying PMC since the first of the year and this is the first return. I don't think I'll purchase any more leather unless it is lamb."

Tudors Glory,
July 6, 2008
By Snookums
from Frederick , Md
|
"This jacket is glorious and in tune with the Tudors fashion craze which has been reinspired by the acclaimined ShowTime Miniseries. The feel of the jacket material is stiff but that way the jewel neckline and stand up collar maintain their shap. I adore this jacket and plan to wear it to the office or out fora night on the town with jeans. Pamela McCoy again has achieved a unique and one of a kind design. The bronze/gold coloring matches well with brown or black."

Not quite right,
July 4, 2008
By Merrylass
|
"This jacket looked great on TV but did not look quite right on me. Although I own many of Pam McCoy's jackets and coats (all in the same size) AND I ordered this jacket in my normal size, this jacket did not fit quite right in the arms and across the chest. The pattern looked great on TV and the "embossed" leather almost gives the look of tooled leather but the smell of paint and the feel of vinyl were very hard to ignore. I immediately shipped this back."

"I have to agree with the other reviews. I knew this would be leather not suede, but it is too short of a jacket and the leather is a bit stiff. I think it would have been fabulous as a longer style (24)? And, a little softer hand. The design is exquisite, so if you like short jackets, you might like this one."

I Love It!,
July 3, 2008
By cartoonjunkie
from Edison, NJ
|
"This is probably the most beautiful jacket I have purchased from Pamela. I just love it. Not only is the embossing great, the collar and neckline treatment is ultra fashionable. I can't wait to wear it. Now all I need is a matching tank (low cut neckline, please) to wear under it. (hint, hint). Thanks Pam for making me look good at such a reasonable price!!"

Pretty Embossing but Too Bulky,
July 3, 2008
By JEWELOVER
from slc
|
"In my opinion to pull off such a design would require a softer feel. I agree with the previous review that it feels like leather not suede. It's just too bulky and it shows in the workmanship, some of the seams don't line up and the left arm in mine is kind of twisted. Bummer I want to keep this but I just don't like the overall look or feel."

Supposed to be Suede,
June 26, 2008
By skeptic
from Gold Coast of Connecticut
|
"This was aired as an embossed suede jacket and that's what my invoice says. Now it's described as "leather" and the jacket I received feels more like vinyl. I've never purchased "leather" from Pam before, only lamb. I don't think I like it. Yes, the jacket is pretty but the feel is not so nice. Also, this is the first PMC jacket I've received (and I have a lot) where the sleeves are longer than I like. I honestly don't know if I want to keep this jacket."
