Waterford® Signed 9.5" Anniversary Crystal Vase

Design director and global spokesperson Jim O'Leary, celebrated his 50th anniversary at Waterford on October 10, 2010. He began as an apprentice in 1960 and became a master cutter by age 24. In 1980, Jim joined the ranks of the legendary design team and thus began his travel to the United States where he has charmed generations of collectors ever since. This gorgeous vase has been specially signed by Jim O'Leary.

This incredible collection takes its inspiration from the magnificent architecture of the Georgian period of 18th century Dublin. It came from "The Age of Exuberance", a time when everything had to be not only functional, but beautiful. The main motif was inspired by the fanlight over the Dublin doors of Merrion Square. The elegant fanlight was designed to allow the light from within to pour out on to the street in order to light the way of the owners returning from their places of work. It also provided a warm welcome to arriving guests. The motif captures the magnificent sparkle of the cut crystal and acts as a metaphor for the warmth that Jim exudes to his patrons and vice versa.

Additional Information:
Measures 9.57"H x 3.66"W. Made of crystal. For indoor use only. Made in Slovenia.

Care Instructions:
Fine crystal should be hand washed separately in warm soapy water, rinsed thoroughly and dried with a lint-free cloth. We do not recommend using a dishwasher to clean your glass as it can dull and damage the surface. Avoid pouring iced liquids or very hot water into glass as extreme temperatures can cause it to crack or break. The finely made rims are the most fragile part of your crystal. Do not turn upside down while drying or storing.
