There is little doubt that The Jungle Book remains one of the most delightful and warmly received of all of the Disney animated films. This re-telling of the classic Rudyard Kipling tale is the last film that Walt Disney was involved with both in terms of production and writing before his death in 1966.
"Let's have fun with it," Walt was often quoted as saying to his animation staff about their efforts on the film. And that is exactly what the talent pool of The Walt Disney Studios did with the story of Mowgli, the Indian jungle boy raised by wolves, befriended by bears and panthers and stalked by pythons and tigers. But beyond Walt's simple desire, The Jungle Book also set a high benchmark in relation to animation, musical score and storytelling to which all of the Disney cartoon classics aspire.
These original intents of Disney inspired this adaptation by Thomas Kinkade Studios. Beautifully framed and matted, and comes with a brass name, this is the first release from the studios. Thom trained and worked with Master Artisans, with whom he taught his painting style and techniques. The Thomas Kinkade Studios will continue with the remaining Disney Dreams images, as well as other images, to continue on with Thom's legacy and carry out his message of Sharing the Light.

About the Collection Known as The Painter of Light™, Thomas Kinkade became recognized as America's most collected living artist. Reflecting his modest background, Kinkade painted bucolic scenes with themes of simple pleasures and inspiring messages. With each brushstroke, Thom eloquently captured the beauty in the world with an instantly recognizable use of color and light.
As a devout Christian, Kinkade used his gift as a vehicle to communicate and spread inherent life-affirming values. Kinkade credited the Lord for both the ability and the inspiration to create his paintings. His goal as an artist was to touch people of all faiths, to bring peace, and joy into their lives through the images he created. The letters he received every day testify to the fact that he had achieved this goal.
