Acrylic is a soft, lightweight and luxurious fabric with bulk similar to wool. It is hypoallergenic, fast-drying and wicking. Here are care instructions:

• Acrylic garments may be washed or dry-cleaned but do not respond well to high heat.
  
• Machine wash with warm water, adding fabric softener during the final rinse cycle.
  
• Machine dry garments at a low temperature and remove them from the dryer as soon as they are dry.
  
• Wash delicate garments by hand with warm water. Reduce static electricity by using fabric softener regularly every few washings. Gently squeeze out excess water and let the garment dry on a non-rust hanger.
  
• Dry sweaters and circular knits flat.
  
• Use a moderately warm iron when necessary.
