During his twenty years of experienced with the largest cosmetic houses, Dimitri James learned that the money the cosmetic houses spend does not go into the product, but rather it seems to go everywhere but the product: ad campaigns, department store counter space, Park Avenue offices, and, most of all, packaging. Frustrated by his findings, and inspired to offer customers something different, Dimitri James launched Skinn Cosmetics in 2002. His focus was to create a collection of quality products that help the consumer, rather than inexpensive formulas packaged in fancy and expensive packages that cost the consumer.
The Skinn Cosmetic collection contains treatment and color products loaded with anti-aging properties that meet the highest professional and esthetician standards, offered only through televised home shopping, the internet and exclusive, privately owned spas throughout North America.
About the Guest
Founder and CEO of Skinn Cosmetics, Dimitri James has been a Hollywood make-up artist, aesthetician, and cosmetologist for 25 years. He’s worked for some of the biggest names in cosmetics, and has manufactured and sold his own cosmetics for 14 years. He created the Skinn Cosmetics collection in 2002, because he felt his customers needed a line of skincare and cosmetics that solved their problems. He invented Skinn Cosmetics, and purchased his own factory so he can manage and control the quality of the line at every step.
His focus is to offer a line of color and skincare products featuring cutting-edge and anti-aging properties, that are concentrated and undiluted by water as a filler, like many of the large cosmetic brands.
