About Trench Coats
Commonly associated with an army officer's uniform, trench coats are traditionally knee-length waterproof raincoats. The creation of the trench coat design is attributed to renowned designer Thomas Burberry, the inventor of gabardine fabric, who created a coat for the British War Office. During World War I, epaulettes were added at the shoulders to hold gloves. The coat's name is said to be created by soldiers in the trenches who called the raincoat a "trench coat." After the war, many veterans included the look in their civilian wardrobes. This classic silhouette has endured through the years, offering a sophisticated look for many occasions.

Always follow the instructions on your garment's care label. Our staff carefully researches the best possible method of caring for your item in order to give it maximum longevity. Avoid wearing your leather item in rain or very damp conditions as the dye used in most leather and suede is subject to some color bleed off when wet. If your garment happens to get wet simply blot it dry with clean towel of similar color. Do not allow a wet leather or suede item to come in contact with other apparel or with upholstery, as there could be some color transfer before the garment is completely dry. In all cases, consult a professional cleaner familiar with leather care if you have any concerns or question.
