NYC II 1.36ctw Multi Gemstone Swirl Snail Ring

This bejeweled snail slowly makes it way out of its gleaming shell! Crafted in polished 18K yellow vermeil over sterling silver, this ring is topped with a gorgeous studded snail with various round cut 1.8-1.3mm multi gemstones. All the gemstones are in prong settings.

This lucky snail offers the following gemstone for a sparkling style:

  • Two round cut 1.3mm black spinels for a total weight of 0.02ct
  • 14 round cut 1.8-1.3mm amethyst for a total weight of 0.20ct
  • 13 round cut 1.5-1.4mm chrome diopsides for a total weight of 0.22ct
  • 14 round cut 1.8-1.5mm purple iolites for a total weight of 0.18ct
  • 11 round cut 1.5-1.4mm London blue topaz stones for a total weight of 0.20ct
  • 14 round cut 1.5-1.4mm Madeira citrines for a total weight of 0.17ct
  • 12 round cut 1.8-1.4mm pink tourmalines for a total weight of 0.19ct
  • Seven round cut 1.5mm pink rhodolites for a total weight of 0.18ct.

    Gold over Silver    


    Vermeil Plating:
    Pronounced “vermay,” vermeil is an electroplating process in which 14K gold or higher is coated over sterling silver. Officially designated by the jewelry industry, items may only be sold as vermeil if they have a minimum thickness of 100 millionths of an inch (2.5 microns) of gold over the silver. Over time, vermeil will wear off and therefore will require re-plating.

    To care for your plated jewelry items:

  • Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, washing hands, putting on make-up, lotions, perfumes, and/or working with household chemicals, cleaners, or acidic liquids.
  • Do not clean plated jewelry in an ultrasonic cleaner or in silver cleaning solutions, as it could completely remove the plating finish from your item.
  • Ensure your jewelry item is thoroughly dry before storing. Moisture in an enclosed space can increase tarnishing.
  • Store your plated jewelry in a jewelry box lined with felt or anti-tarnish material. Items should not be stacked as this may cause damage to the plating surface.
  • Do not use excessive pressure when cleaning with a polishing cloth or soft brush, as this may cause damage to the plating.
  • Over time your plated items will need to be re-plated. Contact your local jeweler for information on plating services.
