Dolman Sleeves
In a dolman sleeve, the sleeve is cut deep with a very wide opening at the armhole, practically to the waist. The sleeve then narrowly tapers to the wrist. This makes the sleeve and bodice one piece, whereas the sleeve can be thought of as an "extension" of the bodice. Dolman sleeves, sometimes also called batwing sleeves, were very popular for women's clothing during the 1930s and 1940s.
